5. Semester was all about renovation. Where we worked on an huge ongoing renovation project in Odense.
We got delivered a “complete” Revit model of one of the apartment buildings, And our job was to do quality control over the delivered material, that included going on site and make a rapport over existing building materials. Making changes and fixing errors in the existing model as we progressed. we worked with chronological phases in Revit (existing, demo/temp and New) where we could draw in all temporary structures, and the construction that where due to be demolished as well all the new elements. In the end we were assigned a single construction which we has to make a detail project on and I got the balconies.
This semester was really Revit heavy so I gained a lot of experience in BIM, working with different phases and extracting data from the 3d model.
In the Sustainability class our assignment was to design a communal building with sustainability as a construct. We designed a presentation house that could show the future of the neighborhood as well as house various offices while construction where ongoing. At the end of construction of the surrounding neighborhood it could easily transform to a kinder garden. the house was build with the goal of minimizing CO2 emissions by using sustainable building materials and energy efficiency.
